Satoko Miyahara is a Japanese figure skater who has won the ‘Gold’ medal at the 2016 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, the Japan Figure Skating Championships (2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18), the 2015 GP NHK Trophy, the GP Skate America championship (2017, 2018), the 2014 CS Lombardia Trophy, the CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019), the 2013 Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy, the Bavarian Open (2019, 2020), and the 2014 Egna Spring Trophy. She had also won the ‘Silver’ medal at the 2015 World Figure Skating Championships, the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships (2014, 2015), the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final (2015-16, 2016-17), the 2019 GP Cup of China, and the GP NHK Trophy (2016, 2018). She had clinched the ‘Bronze’ medal at the 2018 World Figure Skating Championships, the 2018 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, the Japan Figure Skating Championships (2013-14, 2018-19), the 2014 GP NHK Trophy, the 2015 GP Skate America championship, and the GP Skate Canada International (2014, 2016). At the team level, she had won the ‘Gold’ medal at the Japan Open (2015, 2016, 2018), the ‘Silver’ medal at the 2019 Japan Open, and the ‘Bronze’ medal at the Japan Open (2014), the 2016 Team Challenge Cup, and the 2015 ISU World Team Trophy. She was ranked number 1 in the world in the official ladies’ singles rankings issued by the International Skating Union (ISU) at the end of the 2015–16 season.
